The awl, or rather eating pick, is the predecessor of the fork. Its long thorn pierces easily through food. The blade of the knife is broad with a fine point at the end, perfect for creating clean cuts. The stainless steel pieces are secured to their wooden handles with brass rivets. A brass ring decorates the upper portion of the handle.
